Who We Are

Viga Gemilang was formed in 2019, later incorporated as Viga Gemilang Diagnostics Sdn Bhd in Malaysia to develop and commercialize innovative Point of Care (POC) tests for tropical infectious diseases important to Malaysia and Asia. Viga Gemilang’s mission is to develop POC diagnostic solutions in areas with high unmet needs globally.

Our new product focus is to develop a point of care test for COVID-19 locally and develop a local manufacturing site for both infectious and non-infectious diseases. We believe this is important to not only build a company of value by providing more products but it also serves the population of Malaysia for quality of care.

Such diseases in our consideration include Tuberculosis, Typhoid, cancer markers, cardiac markers, Influenza, Bird flu and many more.

Viga Gemilang enterprise was established in 2019 and later incorporated as Viga Gemilang Diagnostics Sdn Bhd in Malaysia with the mission of developing and commercializing innovative Point of Care (POC) tests for tropical infectious diseases critical to Malaysia and Asia. Our goal is to create POC diagnostic solutions for areas with significant unmet needs globally.

Our current focus is on developing a locally produced Point of Care test for COVID-19, while also establishing a local manufacturing site for both infectious and non-infectious diseases. This initiative is not only essential for creating a valuable company by offering a broader range of products, but also for improving the quality of healthcare in Malaysia.

Viga Gemilang Diagnostics Sdn Bhd has been certified under Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMD) since 2019. This certification complies with the regulations set by the Medical Device Authority (MDA) of Malaysia, underscoring our commitment to ensuring the quality and safety of our medical devices throughout the distribution process. By adhering to GDPMD standards, we aim to provide high-quality medical devices that meet the required regulatory criteria.

In 2024, we proudly achieved a major milestone by obtaining the ISO 13485:2016 Medical Devices Quality Management System manufacturing certification. This prestigious accreditation demonstrates our steadfast dedication to maintaining the highest standards of medical device manufacturing and quality management, reinforcing our position as a trusted leader in the healthcare industry.
